Acherusia was created in early 2005 by Anna-Laure (voice).

A stable line-up was hard to obtain mainly due to professional reasons and musical incompatibilities between former members.
Acherusia really becomes a band in May when Cédric (lead guitar) and Rémi (bass/voice) joined the band. At this time, Acherusia's members were Anne-Laure, Cédric, Rémi, Alex (drums) and Soli (keyboards) and then Cirdec (rhythm guitar).
Then Alex decided to leave the band and Soli replaced him and left keys.
This went on and in January 2006 Fabien (bass) came in the band in order to allow Rémi to focus on his voice.
Few months later Rémi left the band and Fabien replaced him as a singer and bass player.

Acherusia first gig took place in June 2006 in a small town from our region called Lunéville, immediately followed by a festival in Nancy (our town). Summer came and Acherusia decided to begin the record of a 5 title demo but Cirdec had to leave the band in August.
The delay was not too long because Angélique joined the band few weeks later.
Her talent made her becoming the new lead guitarist and Cédric focused on the rhythm parts with the help of his 7 strings.

The demo “The Beginning” was realized in January 2007 and was sold to about one hundred copies. Acherusia then moved on many gigs on local scenes until summer when Soli abandoned the ship.

In September 2007, Acherusia welcomed their new drummer Julien who quickly found his place within the band thanks to his great enthusiasm and his rocking style that give a new dimension to the band.

January 2008, lots of new songs have been written and Acherusia is trying to do its best to get its own place in the French metal scene. A new cd will be realized the year, mixing melodic and powerful metal with Nordic black/death and lyrical metal influences
