Abruption was formed in Scotland as a "one-man-band" by Bard e.i.d.n Grey in January 2006. After two months of writting Bard began recording the demo "Noddegamra Ot Syawetag" in March, recording lasted untill November of that year & was released on tape that same month.

Bard then recorded the second demo "Eternal Imperial Demonic Nostalgia" In November 2006 & was released on tape in December of that year.

In 2007 plans to record split albums with (also Scottish Black Metal Bands) Somnium & Triskele were made. After some months spent writting, the recording of Abruption's halfs of the split albums began in 2008 & is ongoing.

After the releases of the split albums Bard is planning a full lenght album for Abruption called "Lament Configuration" which is expected to be recorded sometime in 2010.
