The band was formed in Shumen, Bulgaria in 1999 as a death metal act when lead guitar player and vocalist Marin, the drummer Simeon and rhythm guitar player Ivan decided to create the band. Acting in their previous project, called DEFFECT they decided to dump it and focus on the death metal style. The band changed its name to Abaddon, which actually is taken from the Latin - Angel of Death. Their bass player Nikolay (Mixxxer) left the band, because he didn't like the style and so Abaddon started looking for another bass player. They focused on a friend of the drummer Simeon, called Philip. He actually played really well on the bass guitar, but he didn't want to play the bass. He was studying solo and rhythm so the other members decided to take him as another guitar player. On the parallel they were looking for a vocalist as well. Then came Stoyan. So at last they started working on some cover works and their own works as well. After a few concerts two of the band members left. They were vocalist Stoyan and rhythm guitarist Ivan. The band was actually struggling to find a bass player and vocalist. As a result the lead guitarist Marin started testing his old talents as vocalist and after his hard work he finally became the bands new vocalist. No bass players were found for the next few months. Suddenly one of Simeon's best friends Millen decided to join the group as a bass player. The band members were amazed how he did his job. After a few months with the group he left the band. A few months later they started thinking of recording a Demo recording and so they found their present bass player Chavdar. The band is still working on the Demo version of its album.
