A Vision Grotesque was formed in 2004. Over the course of four years the band released three albums (one through a label), performed eighty-six live gigs, and were featured on various compilations and DVDs. A Vision Grotesque is currently laying low for now, stepping away from the lime light of the stage.

A Vision Grotesque have received RadioIndy's "Grindie Award" for their release "King of the Massacre".

A Vision Grotesque has performed 86 live shows from 2005-2008 regionally through the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The band has been fortunate enough to play with bands from Road Runner, Metalblade, Prosthetic, Solidstate, Life Force and Tribunal Records.
