Biography : A Javelin Reign

A Javelin Reign released their debut album, 'Wrath of the Rice Cooker', on Washington's Lovelost Records (Into the Moat, Black Dahlia Murder, Through the Eyes of the Dead) in 2003. Touring seriously in support of 'Wrath of the Rice Cooker' took the band along the northwest United States with fellow Canadians The End and Ion Dissonance, down the west coast of the United States with Animosity and Embrace the End, and through Canada and the American northwest with fellow Vancouverites Three Inches of Blood. Off tour, A Javelin Reign has played shows alongside the likes of Goatsblood, Buried Inside, Exhumed, A Life Once Lost, Misery Signals, Bury Your Dead and Dead To Fall. The band's three-piece lineup, which includes Sean Hawrlyuk (bass/vocals), Kevin Keegan (guitar) and Dan Donald (drums), provides a balance and work-ethic that ensures that they will be able to continue touring and writing extensively. By drawing from the strengths already present on the tempestuous and challenging 'Wrath of the Rice Cooker' while focusing on songwriting that is remarkably fluid and carefully weighed, A Javelin Reign are developing a uniquely menacing sound.
