A classically trained guitarist turned metal innovator, Luna Seo co-founded Lunar Legion with Aria Kim in 1984. Fascinated by both Baroque harmony and 1980s guitar heroes, she forged a tone that blended precision with emotion.
Luna composed the majority of the group’s material, arranging twin harmonies and layered textures that became their signature. On Echoes from Beyond she delivered sharp, galloping riffs; by Silent Aurora she favored melodic phrasing, chorus-soaked cleans, and introspective leads.
Known for her calm stage presence and technical mastery, Luna also produced several of the band’s recordings, emphasizing analog warmth and spatial depth. Her leadership quietly guided Lunar Legion through every transformation.
