Amon 418 was born in Ariminvm, Italy, upon the Ruins of the Empire.

He started to play in the death-metal band Baratro in 1990, releasing some demo stuff and a mini-cd. The band –mainly a live act– performed gigs all over Italy and near Nations, also supporting international bands like Napalm Death, Konkhra, Raw Power, just to name few.

During 1996/1997 he studied Sound Engineering and Physics, Pre-Post Production and Digital Technologies, in order to enlarge his professional capabilities. After working as a live engineer for some really cool events and artists, he decided to quit and use his skills for a private studio only.

In 1998, he founded Hate Profile and focused on finding a personal Black/Extreme Metal sound and writing down a concept capable to unify his Esoteric, Spiritual and Existential interests. After realizing that he had different aspirations and aims, Amon 418 left Baratro and joined the Technical Death Metal band Opposite Sides in late 2000 e.v. They recorded a promotional 4-tracks CD called “The Eclipse of Existence” in 2002 e.v., which was mixed only 2 years later as Martyr Lucifer from Hortus Animae was joining the band on vocals.

In 2003, Hortus Animae asked Amon 418 to join the band, getting a positive reply. Shortly after he performed the first official recording with this dark and progressive extreme metal act: “Windfall introducing Summoning of the Muse” featuring Liv Kristine on vocals and published on the tribute album to Dead Can Dance “The Lotus Eaters” (Black Lotus Rec.).

After some years in silence, Hate Profile got ready for the debut album as well. GroM from Ancient and Hortus Animae performed guest drums and the CD was completed by Amon 418 who performed all strings, throats and keys. The album features a cold and perfectly fitting artwork by Fabban from Aborym and was produced by Amon 418 for Era Vulgaris Musick.

2005 seems to be the most active year ever: Hate Profile is going to release “Opus I: The Khaos Hatefile” for Cruz del Sur Music and Hortus Animae are releasing “The Blow of Furious Winds” on Sleaszy Rider Rec. Hate Profile is also recording a split-cd with Defixio (featuring 4 songs plus a cover version of Forhekset from Satyricon), while writing down the music for Opus II.
