fans of power and folk metal will get a kick out of this so you’ll definitely to give it a listen!

Coming out of Italy, Evendim is an incredibly fun band to listen to that carries a cross between progressive metal and folk metal vibe. They carry a high level energy throughout and make all tracks captivating for the listener. The musicianship is tight and everything flows without effort as is usually the case with bands that really gel well together. The recording and mix is really well done, nothing is out of balance from what I can hear, I’m not sure if it was the band themselves that did it but whoever was in charge did a really good job.

James’ vocals come in with power on “Boozer’s Rule” and the change from power metal to folk metal is one of the traits of their music that keeps things interesting. You can tell there is a huge amount of talent in this band as you hear the guitar solo tear through. “Faraway So Close” is a haunting ballad with piano in the background and James puts his full emotions into his vocals. “Whiskey on Fire” is a full on anthem with a charging rhythm and power chorus that will have you pumping your fist in the air.

I was a little disappointed to see this was only a three track demo, I definitely wanted to hear more but that’s actually a smart strategy on their part. Only giving us a teaser until they can release a fulllength will leave the listener wanting more. This is a very solid demo that will stick with you, fans of power and folk metal will get a kick out of this so you’ll definitely to give it a listen!
