The band showed why Tragic Hero signed them

Trust in Few, We Are Defiance's debut album produced by ex-A Day to Remember guitarist Tom Denney at Diamond Studios in Ocala, Florida is a solid work for a new band with a fast raising prominence in the alternative music scene.
The band shows why Tragic Hero Records signed with them.

Their first single To the Moon showed that there is a storm coming up to destroy the scene and open the way for a new kind of Post hardcore music. But it is not surprising me because Brian Calzini have a lot of experience in playing music. He was musician of Paddock Park (together with Jason Neil) and Sleeping With Sirens.

The album is consisting out of 10 tracks including the singles To the Moon, The Weight of the Sea and I'm Gonna Bury You Underground Eli. Calzini announced that Telle Smith (The Word Alive) and Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria) would appear on several tracks in this album. Telle Smith is featured on the track "Not Another Song About You". Worsnop doesn't appear on that album. Reason is that he was working with his band on his own album Reckless and Relentless but it isn't a problem because I don't like him and Asking Alexandria. For me it is a plus point.

A next point is the cover of B.o.B.'s Airplane with Kellin Quinn and Tom Denney. This track isn't on this album but fans were able to download it for free on Twitter. Fans just had to share the download link. It was a great campaign for promoting their album.

The band knows how to work with their instruments and using vocals.

A bad point is the full-length: Just 31:07 minutes playing time and 23€ wasn't cheap but I'm not annoyed of the prize. Just about the time I had to wait. I pre-ordered it at Amazon and I had to wait several weeks and I don't know why.
I knew that the release was set 2 weeks later (official release was March 15th, 2011) on March 29th, 2011 because of a car accident the band had while touring through the US.

But all in all I can say: A solid work and I'm stoked on the next releases of WAD. Go ahead!
