Who started that clear voice/grim voice trend? The Dr. Jeckyl And Mr. Hyde story? Alice Cooper in Billion dollar Babies? Black Sabbath (with Ozzy) on Megalomania?

King Diamond seemed to make it one of his trademarks, alternating from his highly talented falsetto vocals and his other lower toned vocals. You've got it all here on The Spider's Lullaby. Some of Kings prettiest music with some of the ugliest Themes. The irony of beautiful music and vocals alternating with such ugly Themes as killers on death row, poltergeists, dreams from witches, spells, etc.

On the second half of this album, the main Theme is a story about spiders and a mental patient. This whole album takes a humorous approach, but the talent and the beauty of the music make this an awesome album. This is classic King Diamond.
