Receiving a Cd from an unknown band, without having any informations about, is a bit stressing.
Only left to hope that the music will be interesting enough to make a review dealing entirely on it.
And it starts very well!
Evildoer is a very good discover which brings me back years before into a style coming from old school death metal and thrash, this album is really good and kicks asses! Sometimes very close to the lasts
Dismember by using similar screaming vocals and very effective death tempos, but also by playing brutal riffs yet still melodic. This swedish death influence is a bit various because of the presence of numerous thrash parts, sometimes slower, often fast, but also with some heavy stuffs which oblige you to headbang unrestrainly. The sound is huge as a whole, and it's with a real pleasure I dive into the dark waters of the old school death thrash. The band has the same kind of approach than old bands such like
Thanatos for example, who search for effectiveness as much as the rythmic than simple riffs. Cherry on the cake, some blasts lessons judiciously placed which give to the unit more spice.
A very good album which changes from all this neo metal wave that invades our CD stores nowdays.
