Sorrowful Angels

the music is delivered with precision and passion behind the vocals.

Goth metallers Sorrowful Angels is giving us a little teaser of what we can expect of their upcoming full-length album with this EP entitled “Omens”. Full rhythmic guitar work and symphonic keyboards the music is delivered with precision and passion behind the vocals.

Mistress of Desire” is very straightforward with catchy hooks and powerful chorus with a guitar lead that will have bobbing your head along with it. Dion switches back and forth between clean melodic vocals to a grittier transition throughout the track. “Unspeakable Cult” is very atmospheric with the keyboards playing in the background and Fivos completely shreds on the drums. Dion delivers a very dark ambience with his vocals that are delivered with harsh whispers that grow more aggressive as the track goes on.

Mourn” is an extra bonus and a cover tune originally done by the Norwegian band, Apoptygma Berzerk, which kind of reminds of a cross between Orgy and Rammstein. Not being too familiar with Sorrowful Angels not being all too familiar with them, I am definitely liking what I hear so far and am curious to hear the full album before I make my full opinion of them. I recommend you do the same and give “Omens” a listen!
