“Yet an album one must have”
For a band from in Colorado in 2004,
Cryogen is a band that has earned my respect and passed all the expectations on the underground music.
And I’m a little surprised that no one has made a review for this talented band. I’m honored, to write a review for cryogen.
Cryogen was the first death metal band, I've listened to.
Despera is my favorite album out the other entire albums from
Cryogen because it's unique on the style it plays. It’s an album that is worth listening to. I myself, Can’t stop listening to this album. Despera, released in 2009, is the most mature work put together by
Cryogen.
Let’s get to business, the first track “Mirror
Entropy” begins throwing fast beats, then the atmosphere of the song changes brutally with nasty growls and it is obvious of the strong presence of the melodic riffs. Following the next tracks “
The Hidden” and “Divine Hallucination” both have noticeable melodic riffs throughout these two tracks, as well some thrash metal in it, and not to mention the cool growls being on fire.
And finally “
Agnosis” this is the best track in the album, it starts very dramatic with a couple stops, following with nasty growls, and melodic riffs fire throughout the song. Overall, this is a very enjoyable album.
And I recommend this album for those who are melodic death metal fans. I give this band 18/20.
