Okay... This has been the worst BYD album of all time! There are three reasons to describe it: 1. Mat Bruso left! 2. The band became a little too lighty on this album! And 3. Past albums were raw, intense, and over-the-top brutal! BYD's selftitled album, however, does not have all of those things and uses a lot of emo themes(I think the themes are such)instead. No wonder Beneath the Sky went on hiatus early last year, because these guys on what they were during their 2001-2006 years have now drastically changed for the better. I now only listen to this band's older releases in memory of Bruso, himself. Instead of that fag singer BYD have now, you should at least try to compare him to Mat more often, in which Mat is greater than Myke Terry.

I don't want to sound harsh, but this album and the more recent BYD release both no longer have the intensity of their old albums. I may have lost faith in this band forever, but I still remember how badass they were with their Cover Your Tracks and Beauty and the Breakdown albums. I've figured that the selftitled album would be very insane with bone-chugging breakdowns and riffs similar to what was on the earlier albums, but this release goes into more warmhearted variations of songs. But, to my pleasure, I hope Bury Your Dead in the future comes up with their old lineup once again instead of the emo-ish aliens that are defeating the old BYD. Until again, SaurianBear is out! Peace!

The Insane Bury Your Dead(R.I.P. 2001-2006)

P.S. Here is a taste of what BYD should continue to sound like.
