An outstanding debut by Bloodsimple!

Bloodsimple is a north american Alternative Metal/Hardcore band, they made their debut with this album entitled "A Cruel World", first of all, I have to say i'm not really into Hardcore or Alt Metal, but Bloodsimple's fusion of both genres makes an unique atmosphere and feeling sensation.

Track 10 "Falling Backwards" features a guess apparence by Mudvayne's vocalists Chad Gray. Returning to the point, the album's first tracks are a more Hardcore oriented style rather than alternative metal, Tim Williams vocals on this tracks remaind me of KoRn's Jonathan Davis, instruments on this tracks feature distored guitars, fast drumming, bass distorcion as well and harsh/gutural vocals, last tracks of the album are more a Alternative Metal oriented sound with even some Accoustic Guitars, Clean vocals (althought Williams does Harsh vocals in some parts), mid-tempo instrumentation and even some melancholic or depressive atmosphere is given on this tracks, as I mentioned before Chad Gray makes an apparence on the track "Falling Backwards", Gray's voice actually gives the song a more raw and strong atmosphere, rather than a Melancholic one.

Lyrics on the album are mostly focused on Love and Depression for Love, a good lyrical theme if you are an Alternative act, the lyrics actually told me something, you don't have to give up if you want to reach something.

Well my final score for the album is 10/10, its an oustanding debut for Bloodsimple (althought they are on hiatus right now...), oh and yes I forgot to mention the strange Hidden Track of the Phone Conversation on the last track "Plunder", it actually made me laugh.
