Je trouve qu'il y a plein de truc intérressant dans ce début 2022, ce rajoute le nouveau SENTIENT HORROR

Descent : Order Of Chaos (caligari records)
Ma première écoute 2022 en Death Metal, c'est Descent, j'ai bien aimé les 2 premiers extraits, l'album confirme.
2e album, en provenance d'Australie, un superbe atwork de Mitchell Notle.
Un death modern, mélangeant des petites facettes Black et deathcore. Cela se rapproche un peu d'un Black dalhia Murder, mais ici pas d'aspect mélodique, c'est puissant, compact, avec des passages écrasants.
Très prenant dés le début, mais au bout de 4 ou 5 écoutes, je trouve qu'on voit vite le bout. Un bon album tout de même 13.5/20.
 

WOMBBATH - Agma
6e album des suédois, premier album sorti en 93. Un groupe qui ne m'a jamais convaincu, ce Agma sort sur  Transcending Obscurity, un label spacialisé death metal. 1h12 ! WOMBBATH ne manque pas d'inspiration, mais ça fait long pour un album de death. En tout cas c'est ce que j'ai écouté de mieux chez WOMBBATH, c'est varié, efficace, et old school.
Mais c'est trop long, difficile d'aller au bout, un condensé ne dépassant pas les 40min aurait surement donné un bon album.
 

NECROPHAGOUS - In Chaos Ascend
1er album, toujours de suéde, toujours chez Transcending Obscurity. Un death old school classique, le premier morceau Order Of The Lion, me fait ni chaud ni froid. Et petit à petit la sauce commence à prendre, un côté Morbid Angel fort agréale, et des passages assez prenant (In Chaos, Ascend, la fin écrasante de Wolf mother, l'excellente Horns Of Seven) me pousse jusqu'à la fin de l'opus.
Un groupe prometteur.
 

Cette nouvelle a fait ma semaine :

ATROCITY vient de sortir une démo 4 titres issues de la phase de composition de son Todenssehnsucht (1991).

4 titres, dont 3 inédits.

Grosse sorties 2022, on devrait avoir :

Obituary, Arch Enemy, Behemoth, Revocation, Amon Amarth.
