I feel I-don't-know-how because a publishing company contacted me wanting to publish my book with them. Now you can guess I was over-the-mmon for a second, but I suspect them being... untrustworthy. Google 'Xlibris publishing scam' and you'll see why. They're a company that requires a lot of $$$ (they're asking for $1,600 to publish a book), when a lot of companies pay the writer and then give writer commission to boot. Also, these people only know my idea--they haven't seen any of it at all. They say it's great and a highly original idea, but when they ask for money to publish a book they haven't read yet... it's strange to me.
I'm super flattered and encouraged that they like the idea, but I think I have to turn Down their offer...

That's actually a really good present. Chicks LOVE it when you give them gifts unprovoked, especially if it relates to them in some way, for instance, one of the gifts I gave my girlfriend at the time was a necklace in her favorite color (periwinkle, that shit was a Bitch to find). One present I'm going to get for my current gf's birthday is a framed ticket from our first movie date...they'll pretty much blow you on the spot for shit like that.
