If you don't mind me asking, what exactly were you studying in university?

I am sorry to hear that Raina . I will Avoid the drama , as i know you Hate it .
You are done now , you finished . A final Grade wont affect your future that much ! Only your personal efford will make you evolve in work positions , not some shitty grading system .

Business Administration in Foreign Languages - English section. Basically, economy.

@Archon - I certainly hope so too. However, in some places, like money-grabbing multinational corporations, they take marks into consideration during employee recruitment. Though I can rely on the diploma, since it is considered the best business school in the country, anyway.

I can't say anything except that I hope that you make it good through your career, despite not getting the Grade you wanted. I'm sure you'll make it fine!

Right now I am...surprised! I just received an email from a complete Stranger regarding the review I did for Intronaut- weird thing is, it isn't even the first one I've got for that review either! He basically said "your review was very hateful and I'm wondering if you would ever warm up to the album" or something along those lines.

This is really motivating me to work on the Negative Blood Fire Death review I'm doing- I like controversy!

Hah, I love comments like that!
I don't get 'em too often... I mean, I got a couple for Dimmu's Gateways (some shit about not being able to except a band who 'grows'). And surprisingly I got Nothing bitching at me for giving Death's Leprosy and Venom's Black Metal a 15/20.

...But seriously, how can you not like Blood Fire Death?
And along those lines, I'm thinking of doing a so-so review of In The Nightside Eclispe, because while I don't flat-out dislike it I can't understand the hype surrounding it.

well no shit you didn't get any bitching, they're still positive reviews. I have a feeling people only get angry if you flat-out don't like the album in question.

I'll elaborate on the BFD disliking in the review, and you gave me another idea- I dislike Venom's Black Metal as well! I could write a Negative review for them too.

Oh, and I felt the same way about In the Nightside Eclipse, but then I listened to it again and I warmed up to it- that's a really deep album right there, you gotta listen to it a few times to really get what's going on since there's so much that flies by you at once.

Thread topic: kind of frustrated all around right now with the way life is going.

As for the tangent, I haven't done any Negative ones here yet. I have a couple semi-lukewarm albums i'm possibly going to write for here and RYM, but i'm not sure if i'm going to bring them over yet. I've only really done positive reviews so Far for here.

As for In The Night Side Eclipse, I think it's a fantastic album, but the odd mixing tends to obscure certain elements of the record that make it a bit hard to fully absorb on the first listen. (the guitars, in particular have an unfortunate tendency to get lost in the cavernous sounding production.) I think it's a fantastic record and Far and away the best Emperor LP, but it's a little hard to figure out at first.

I defenitely agree with that point. There are plenty of moments where I think 'oh, this is why this is considered so good' (aka the interlude in The Majesty of the Nightksky is fucking fantastic), but it's disguised by shitty production. A lot of the sound melds together and overlaps. I love Inno A Sathanas, Into the Infinity of Thoughts, Cosmic Keys all the way through, but lots of the others I can't seem to get a grip of. I mean, I've heard the album about 6 times (I own it on vinyl), but maybe I'll try it a few more times. GOD knows there're plenty of albums I used to not like that I suddenly 'get' and then I love the album from then on. Maybe this'll be one?

It appalls me that so many of my friends are doing drugs and drinking this early in their life. :/
