okay, I see anyway, I've listened to Unholy Matrimony a bit time ago, it didn't seem extremely fast, it was just drums (that sounded shitty, and because of that I couldn't really get into that), but besides that it was still a regular BM to me. But those are just details, giving a fuck about genre when the music is great is pointless I think. Cheers!

Vladimir Cochet programs drums for his three projects, which is why they sound shitty. He does make it sound good in Mirrorthrone though, but they sound worst in Unholy Matrimony.

Actually, here's a better example of Brutal black metal.

Not new at all. The band Blasphemy (who formed in 1984) had the "war metal" sound already along with Sarcofago (1985). It's basically old school death + old school black mixed with thrash metal.

Essentially it's a genre of bands who strictly imitate Blasphemy. There are exceptions, but a lot of the stuff is boring as all hell.

Yep. There are gems, but 70% or so are just Blasphemy clones.

And it seems a lot of them love goats

War metal isn't heavy because of the atmosphere; it's heavy because of how sludgy and thick the sound is.

Being technical does not equal heaviness, just to point out.

Yes mate, I know that, but technicality is something that is usually associated with Extreme metal and is what I like to call heavy. I don't really think that atmosphere is the main ingredient in heavyness, but everything about Extreme metal which puts it all together.

@Pavel: Brutal Black Metal is a term that I use to describe the style of Black Metal that has taken things to another level, but when I mean this, I refer to bands that typically have; fast blast beats, extremely fast tremolo picking and there is a typical atmosphere that is associated with Brutal black and it's brought about by the guitar work.(thats what I think anyway)

Examples:
Marduk

Infernal War

Endstille

Miniradman, your definition is okay, but I can not agree that Marduk or Infernal War are Brutal bm bands. I know those bands well, and I'd rather say that Marduk is regular bm, sure it has blast beats and stuff, but still it is just little bit more Extreme kind of bm for me. Infernal War is a great example of polish furious death/black metal. I think Mercenarion's Weeping Birth was the only example when I would agree for the term 'brutal black metal', cause bands that you've mentioned are of course Extreme, but it's just the beauty of black metal. Cheers !

If we're talking about the more Extreme black metal...

Incredibly Abrasive, like it's melting your face. If this isn't high up on the 'most Extreme Black Metal list' than I don't know what is. Musically, I don't like it all that much, but hey, it's heavy.
