well IMO deathcore is a alright genre but i dislike the people who
1.shove it in your face and make it seem anoying. (scene kids, emo kids)
2. talk trash about it cuz they dislike it and then go and just talk more trash to people who like it ( unless its to a scene kid then ill just join in)
if it wasnt for almost every scene kid in th world no one ould even call this genre gay (but maybe theyd stare at it funny 0 ) and if it wasnt for the impulsive trash talkers wh just like to shove their opinions Down everyones throat then id say theres no point for this forum.

I never fucking said that Deathcore is harder to play than other genres DID I. I just said that it must be fairly hard to play. What is this crap you talk about when you say when they speed songs up in a studio. Haven't you ever heard of a Live CD or ever been to a live performence. Also its not about playing Random beats they also have to work together that is why they are a BAND!

Also what is this crap of what metal should be. Firstly there is many different styles of metal. So who are you to say it is a bad representation of metal. I also don't see how that thing with the car has anything to do with Deathcore or emotions. You have to understand that Deathcore comes from Metalcore and Death Metal mixed together. Also I know that most (if not all) bands in the world express their emotions through songs. I'm not dumb.

Also just becuase I can't play Deathcore dosen't mean I like it. C'MON! I was just saying that they must have some kind of skill to play some of the songs.

Also did you direct "you suck" towards me becuase that was totaly... UNCALLED FOR!

Jesus shit. Did you fail reading comprehension in school or something? I wasn't saying that deathcore bands speed up songs in the studio (although, for what it's worth, some of them do- I've heard that some do so from a few of my deathcore-loving friends) I was challenging your point through metaphor by saying that since you hold deathcore on a pedestal due to the difficulty of the instrumentation, then anything with difficult-to-play scales and sweeps and whatnot MUST be enjoyable to you even though it doesn't sound good at all. I know that's not the case, but your logic seems to support this reasoning.

Deathcore is a bad representation of metal because, well, it's just not metal. Most deathcore borrows more from the Hardcore punk spectrum than it does the metal spectrum. That's looking at it from a purely subjective standpoint, too. The certain "groove" of the riffs, the lower register shout-ish vocals, and of course, the breakdowns. All staples of Hardcore punk. Of course, it's also baseless, substance-less, terrible music, and well, do you REALLY want scene kids representing our Beloved genre? didn't think so.

My car analogy (something you also failed to grasp) was basically saying that even though I'm sure some of these bands are putting their Heart into their music, the method in which they choose to express these emotions is done very, very poorly, because all expressions of said emotion have to remain within the strict confines of a genre which is incapable of expressing these emotions due to the retarded aesthetics of the music itself. There's no room for any creative Ideas to flower or prosper.

Oh, and instrumental ability does not instantly equate to good songwriting skills. Just because somebody's good at playing their instrument doesn't mean they can write good riffs.

Yes, I did say you suck. Oh no. I'm sure you've never had THAT directed towards you before. Seriously, man, it's the fucking internet. Get a grip.

Yeah, but when you read comments like, "fuck this band, they suck, X band is waaaay better", which come from nowhere, doesn't this annoy you? If you don't like something, you shouldn't bother about it, just let it be. Don't Waste 2 minutes of your life writing a senseless comment. (i am referring to the bashing thing)

No. It doesn't annoy me at all. People can like what they want to like and Hate what they want to hate. Doesn't make my musical preferences any different at The End of the day.

On the flip side, why Waste your time saying "this band rocks, they're awesome, they're waaay better than X band"? This also comes from nowhere and could just as easily be left alone. If everybody liked every song in Existence, then there wouldn't be forums like this that are meant to discuss music. That Means we can (and should) discuss the Negative aspects of it too.

What I don't understand, personally, is why people can't just read a senseless Flame, say "oh well, guess he doesn't like 'em" and move on. If there were no responses to trolls, there would be no trolls.

Peeps were hatin’ on it
‘fore I left my comment.

We didn’t start the Flame war,
Let the whole wide world know
I’m a big old asshole."

Sorry, I just had to.

DID I FAIL, DID I FAIL!0  I got academic exllence for the past 3 years and I won the English award in year 8 and I acheived DUX last year. SO YOU CAN'T SAY I'M STUPID!

I never said it was good music becuase its hard to play DID I! I just implied that you should appreciate their skills.

Also that crap about you saying that they borrow most of their music from hardcore punk. DID YOU COMPLETELY MISS THE PART WHERE I SAID THAT DEATHCORE COMES FROM DEATH METAL AND METALCORE!

Also you said that they cannot create any new Ideas. Creating new ideas is a major factor in music itself. So if a particular genre is not able to create new ideas why is it so popular? Pfft! retarded aesthetics. do you know what is retarded? (retorical) your attitude when it comes to Deathcore.

You don't even know what you are talking about. Pfft! what are you on about, "Deathcore isn't even metal." Of course its metal stupid. (sorry I had to quote you there MothandMoon I thought that comment on St anger was priceless). You think that just because you see little children wearing Deathcore bands on their T-shirt means that Deathcore is crap and all you have heard is probably the mainstream stuff. I don't even like black metal that much but I still search for new black metal bands and songs because there are some Diamonds among the ashes and I appreciate their skills as musicians. I bet you did not even bother looking.

Also whats up with you saying that "do I want scene kids representing our genre" What the hell! Last Time I checked metal was not a gang or a sporting team. WHAT ARE YOU, THE NAZI OF METAL. This site is called Spirit Of Metal and I don't think that you are showing the right spirit.

Also that comment you said about me "sucking". What the hell, I live in Australia. Ofcourse I have had that said to me. I also could have said that to alot of people on this site. But I chose not to. So it is people like you thinking that you are already top shit and you have only been on this site for how long? People like you make people like me want to leave this site. BUT I DON'T INTEND TO 0  You can only say half of what you said to me over the internet than what you could say to me in real life.

Touché
I have the feeling this forum is getting a bit to Negative

Wow...calm Down people, writing with so many arguments is ok, but you're getting a little too personal on each other... and it won't be very pleasant for either of you, since you already start talking about leaving/remaining on the forum.

It's just different opinions on music taste, you are free to like or Hate any music genre or band - but nobody should be bashing anyone.

If it were to me, I have the greatest music taste in the world 0

During the Bloodstock 2010 festival, Metal Hammer magazine asked some of the
artists who performed over the weekend to listen to headphones
that had Bring Me The Horizon playing on them.

This is what they thought of it.

You can love or Hate Deathcore, that's fair enough. But you cant say that it's not Metal.
