deathcore... Deathcore to me is sometimes more about TODAY'S struggles in society. while Death Metal is more about the gruesome part of the human mind, where Deathcore lyrics can make you think. Now that's not to say that Death Metal doesn't also provoke emotions or deep thought. I also think that Deathcore could benefit from more Death Metal influence, lets take Whitechapel for instance. VERY Deathmetal inspired lyrics with a more complex song structure than say Cannibal Corpse.

TLDR VERSION;
BOTH GENRES HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER TO THOSE THAT HAVE AN OPEN MIND.
