The thing with mainstream is that the more popular someone becomes, the more Soulless his music becomes. Because when you are popular, people listen to everything you make, even if it sucks .e.x Justin Bieber. His music sucks balls (excuse my language), but no one bothers, everyone listens to him, because his so famous. Or Lady Gaga, most of the people i met don't listen to her because they like her music, but because it's LADY GAGA, you're not cool if you don't listen to Lady Gaga.
The point is that when you're famous, you start losing the passion, and make music just to sell. This happens everywhere, even in metal, but there are some exceptions of course.

And i never really liked techno, because like, Panzerjager said, it's to repetitive and boring, i mean, i heard a song which goes "why you're looking like that, you're so amazing, oooh why you're looking like that" with the same beat over and over again  for five fucking minutes. Industrial is way more interesting.

Okay, i don't want to bash any music here, and i think i'm getting a little bit off-topic

Very very drunk prob. But it has its upsides too: you don't have to/can't listen too that bubblegum pop if you're soo drunk you can't stand on your legs. Why do you think youngsters drink large amounts of wodka, jenever (is this right in English) or whisky?

hahaha yeah man, exactly. i can't stand listening to that stuff sober, and it's still pretty unlistenable when i'm drunk too.
and i'm not quite sure what jenever is, i've never heard of it. and wodka is pronounced with a V at the beginning, but most every country pronounces it "wodka", alotta european countries have the "V" sounds prounounced like a "W" in english.

Just found out what 'jenever'is in proper English: either Gin or Geneva. It's very popular in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, especially with old people and at raves

So it's all just fuckin metal and rock.

I have to agree and also that there is no real borderline between rock and metal mainly because there are so many different styles of metal. Some styles are "heavier" Than others.

truley i belive that no new bands are even metal because they use so much technology that they hardly even play

What you just said perfectly described the new Linkin Park album.

Now now, most modern metal bands (that don't follow the path of Dimmu or Metallica) still have talent. So what if they use technology. Sybreed and Violent Work Of Art use technology in their work, but they don't just do that. They play their instruments, and pretty damn well too.

Could I ask though, are you stating that you think all new bands that sound like metal these days aren't even metal?
