Well, I did end up giving Il était une forêt... a go and I was impressed, I don't usually go for DSBM but they seem to be just a little step ahead of the others. The thing that I love to the most about it is the way they have used the Acoustic Guitars in some of the tracks.
 
BTW: I didn't realise that you would be the kind of person that would go for Handful of Hate?

I didn't think I would be either, but that album does everything right that it can possibly do with the Swedish ultra-melodic style of black metal. That album just managed to hold my interest throughout, never got boring. Probably the only album in that vein I really like.

I did a review for Autopsy's Acts of the Unspeakable a few days ago, and I thought it turned out pretty good.

Also, I first listened to this album when pulling weeds for a neighbor at $12.50 an hour, and whenever I play it I can smell weeds and plants and WET leaves etc.
So now I smell vomit when listening to Electric Wizard's Come My Fanatics and when I listen to Venom's Black Metal, and I smell plants and stuff when listening to Autopsy's Acts of...

Holy shit I just noticed that I wrote that. Wow, that's one Hell of a coincidence.
Although there were no roses or flowers in this person's garden.
 
And about smelling vomit, didn't you read my Venom: Black Metal review? I went on a school trip to NY for 3 days and on the bus ride back something I ate didn't agree with me, and I started to feel Sick while listening to Come My Fanatics on my ipod. I then started vomiting in the back washroom for the last 2 hours of the busride, and when I got home I wanted to listen to Black Metal really bad and so I put it on while vomiting into a bucket. That's why I smell puke when I'm listening to CMF and Black Metal.
