I'm a peaceful, happy and proud atheist. I am open minded, but as Richard Dawkins says ''By all
Means let's be open-minded, but not so open-minded that our brains drop out'' I respect that some people feel the need for
Faith, my mother is religious and she says she needs her
Faith and i respect that. One thing that really gets up my nose is when someone says the words she/he is a christian child or a Jewish child or a Islamic child and so on. Stop labeling the children, let them grow up and make up their own minds, don't
Brainwash them into something. If i was a communist, I wouldn't say my child is a communist child but I would say he/she is a child from a communist parent, just like I was a child from a christian parent and not a christian child. I applaud my mum for bringing me up to be open minded and liberal. I do think my mum and other religious people are a little mad! well wouldn't you call me
MAD if i said i believed in
Santa or the unicorns. To believe in something i need to see the evidence. At least science tries to find out the answers like, how the
Universe was created. I can't believe that a
GOD created the
Universe because that's what it says in a very old book that was written back when people said the world was flat and the sun revolves around the
Earth and if I don't believe in it then I will spend
Eternity In Hell, that is not evidence, that is being ignorant and closed minded to the facts. Another Richard Dawkins Quote "Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think
and evaluate evidence.
Faith is the belief in spite of, even perhaps
because of, the lack of evidence." So true. PEACE.
