I wouldnt say it's "challenging", and i know how fucking talented bands such as Mayhem are but i guess that everyone thinks that every other band is overrated. I mean i disagree with Alice In Chains & COB being overrated, and you disagree with my opinion on slam death/BM.

To me, it's quite bland. I like bands that know how to progress their music rather than retreading a formula that they know brings 'em cash.
I will say that I've only sampled AC/DC--that is to say, I've heard all of their biggest songs (the ones you mentioned before, Hell's Bells, TNT, Diry Deeds, You Shook Me All Night long, and a couple others... and it's boring. It's music to play in a bar during happy hour and on 'badass cop' movies, and that's about all.
Sorry man, I just don't like AC/DC. It's not so much that I run out of a room when I hear something of theirs played on the radio... I mean, I can stand it, but I Avoid it if I can.

I think that Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon (except for count your blessings) are the most overrated bands not because they are bad, but because there are bands out there who are Far Superior than they are.

i  could go on. also i'll be the first to admit each of these bands has a great song or two, but to live their careers off of it? what the fuck?! slipknot for instance, before i knew good quality metal, i listened to this shitty excuse for the best metal band ever. now i think of those days as my darker years and laugh at my ignorance
