They turn metal into garbage. Their last album was absolute balls. Nothing but bitching and moaning for 60 friggin minutes. The title song was okay, but that's it. I can't believe men in their 40s would write such emo teenage Angst songs. What happened to what they were doing in Mate Feed Kill Repeat? And there were a few other good songs by them outside of that album (Iowa, Skin Ticket, etc) but that's pretty much it. Also, they dont need ro have 9 friggin members! (Although they are Down to 8 since the bassist just died, although he was one of the talented ones).

Slipknot's first album was awesome, and as you said, Mate Feed Kill Repeat. That demo/album/something was freaking epic. And it is Sad that Paul Gray died.

great topic... personally, there are alotta bands i think are overrated, i won't even start with Nu Metal because it's all pretty much overrated as far as i'm concerned, but Cradle Of Filth and Arch Enemy are on the top of my list (i've tried to get into Arch Enemy many times, but it just all sounds the same)

Cradle Of Filth, HIM and Immortal.

I like so many overrated bands... like Iron Maiden [I think they are damn good, but in the same time overrated], AC/DC, Kiss.
Of course there's Metallica and Nirvana that are hugely promoted by the media and get undeservingly on top 10 best guitars and vocals and stuff like that .

I don't think Arch Enemy are overrated though. They deserve at least a bit of fame .

I think there are a lot of overrated bands, but the most overrated are Metallica and Children of Bodom.
Metallica because every goddamn idiot here who listens to Metallica thinks he's a goddamn metalhead. And Children of Bodom....well because they are avoerrated since the beginning.

yeah, Children Of Bodom is pretty overrated, i never liked em too much. sounded too "pop-ish" they covered a Britney Spears song, the only metal band that gets away with doing that shit is Ten Masked Men0
