Its funny because just a few months ago we had some people complain about how the SoM forums are hard to navigate through. So we deleted and merged a lot of them together. Which, I opposed but it went ahead anyway, either way it made no real difference, and I've noticed all the new people have created forums.

Easy to navigate
Friendly forum
not to picky on genres(can add nu-metal, industrial that sort of stuff)
as mini said, easier to gain points
don't need a physical release to be added to the site.

Cons

Adverts
Most stuff is in french
The forums can become a bit empty at time

M-A

Pros.
Lots of bands
The genre thing moth brought up a few pages back
all in english
lots of reviews
Search engine is better

Failing to many times
Need a evidence of a physical release for the band to be added to the site.
