I find that picture discs are cool, but if a band releases a vinyl in normal black/colored and in picture disc, I'll pretty much always shoot for the colored/black version, 'cause I find that while picture discs look friggin awesome (I got a pic disc vinyl on the previous page of the forum that looks so great), they don't play as well as other records. They get crackly pretty fast.

The band Tool only released Lateralus in pic disc, which is unfortunate 'cause if they had a standard vinyl of that album I'd snap it up in a second.
I do have a picture disc 7" single of Disturbed's Inside the Fire (don't laugh at me) and it plays perfectly... maybe that's 'cause it's a 45 or something.

Hey guys, check these bad boys out:

MY ENTIRE VINYL Burzum COLLECTION! (No Dauoi Baldrs--that's The One Burzum album I dont like). All of these I've had a while (I got my first Burxum album in 2009) except for Fallen, which I've had about a month.

Other stuff I've gotten in the past little while:

Om - Variations on a Theme: Got that one in Maine for $12. Fucking awesome. Three tracks of sludgy Stoner doom. First 30 seconds of side 1 is fairly cracky, but everything else is smooth sailing. Great album, limited to 1000 copies.

Mayhem - Ordo Ad Chao: My DAD got this for me in Ontario. I don't really like it; I find it rather dull and uninteresting except for Illuminate Elliminate and Wall of Water. It's on orange vinyl, and it's limited to 500 copies worldwide.

Nirvana 2002 - Recordings 89-91: I kept seeing this in my record store, not knowing what it was, and I eventually got around to taking a close look at that logo, and it said Nirvana, so I was like 'Nirvana? What? I don't want this.' But later I found out that Nirvana 2002 was a Swedish Death Metal band for 2 years (from 89-91) and this album is a compilation feat. everything they've EVER done. The inner sleeve documents their inspiration, forming the band, breaking up, how they got stuff recorded, how awesome their stuff is (Trust me, go listen to 'Mourning' by them). Just a great release. BUY IT IF YOU SEE IT. Also limited to 500 worldwide copies. Got it for $20.

The inside of the Mayhem vinyl--IT LOOKS AWESOME. The music may be boring as Hell but this is a really cool inner picture.

Inside of the Nirvana 2002 vinyl--a picture of the band members together. I know they don't look it, but the inner sleeve says these guys were 14, 15 and 16 years old.

I also ordered a Disturbed single for $8 (it's from 2002 so it's nice and rare) and AUTOPSY'S NEW ALBUM IN VINYL! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT.

Yeah, those are pretty pimpin', although considering they're vinyls, they're probably expensive as fuck.

I recently hit up a used CD store and found a few solid items:

Symphony X- Paradise Lost (limited edition digipak, the design is badass)
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Tourniquet - Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm (heavy/thrash that, despite the Christian theme, is still alright)
Memento Mori - La Danse Macabre (strange mix of power/doom)
and my personal favorite... Thy Antichrist - Wicked Testimonies (Colombian Black Metal that has a surprisingly large thrash influence)

All for $4 each. Fuck yeah.

No, I get a lot of my vinyls for good prices (except if it's a new release, like Fallen I paid $38 for).
Nice prices on those CDs! Was a store doing a clearance stale, or something?

nah, it was just a used CD place and they had a deal on. You had no idea how much shit i had to sift through to find those.

No, I have a good idea. I've seen the way they organize stuff in a sale--basically it's just haphazardly piled together like a pile of shit and you have to go through it hoping In Vain that something cool pops up. I've seen lots of stuff like that but I never found anything good. Although I once found a place selling used CDs for $3 at a town I was visiting, and I bought a Ton of Random CDs just because at the town I live in you can give them your used CDs for $5 each. Got like $20 from that. 0
