Yeah, there're two turntables in my house, one of them belongs to me and is hooked up to my ipod dock.
I wouldn't collect vinyls if I didn't have something to play 'em on. 0

I think I'm the only vinyl collector on here though.

Jag Panzer : scourge of the light. is my latest CD purchase, but for vinyl I would have to think it was Demons And Wizards double pic disc.

Vinyls have an appeal to me, though I never got to buying any. But I also don't get to buy as many CD's as I'd like to. I have an old pick up (by old I mean like 40 something years) and it still works - I'll even brag that I fixed it myself. 0
Don't know why I haven't even thought of turntables when I asked you that question. : S

Yeah, I think turntables are best--you can hook 'em up to Giant speakers and surround sound when you want to... that way you can sorta collect speakers as time goes by.
I say buy a record--it is a little hard to find out which companies produce the best vinyls, but you'll learn eventually. xD
Just don't buy a picture disc first, 'cause they never play as well as color or regular vinyls. Do you have any record stores near you?

Yeah, there are several music stores in Bucharest where you can find some vinyls. Old vinyls are not hard to find either, they arfe sold in anticariats with old books and stuff. I think there was even an open air vinyl record market once or twice a year.

It is indeed a rather rare hobby to collect vinyls, only know one person that does that...

Damn, that sounds awesome. I Wish there was stuff like that here (there are some nifty vinyl stores around though).

I prefer CDs but picture disc on vinyl are cool. I still have close to 70 albums on vinyl because I can't get them on CD.
