I just downloaded the new Catamenia album from Napster!  I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but the samples sounded really good.  They've even got a cover tune of Megadeth's song, Angry Again.

hack says : I didn't like the samples for Eluveities new album, I know that I won't listen to it if I buy it.  Last week, I made a rare visit to the local record store and picked out 4 albums:
Dark Funeral-Angeles Exuro Pro Eternus
Dark Fortress-Ylem
Azaghal-Teraphim
Pig Destroyer-Phantom Limb
I like the Pig Destroyer album the most and like the Dark Fortress album the least.0 [/QUOTE

wish i had that kinda selection around here, even the local distros don't offer Dark Fortress or Azaghal cd's.
sadly, from what everyone's been sayin, it sounds like Eluveitie has passed their musical prime already. but i still need to hear this new albm for myself.
They ought to offer those albums, because they are both on American labels; Moribund Records(Azaghal) and Century Media Records(Dark Fortress).  Demand it!

I've found some obscure stuff at the bargain bins at Best Buy before (once found Demolition Hammer's first 2 albums in a re-issue package there) but the last time i went there, everything looked entirely picked over.
i didn't even know Catamenia had a new album in the works, they did a great cover of I wanna be somebody on Location:Cold

Just listened to Catamenia, wasn't overly impressed. It just sounded like a worse version of Abigail Williams to me.

The last two albums I bought are

Money Machine (2003)

and

Cheat the Gallows (2008)

by BIGELF.

I got them at one of their concerts, they have just finished the Cheat the Gallows Tour in Europe with Priestess as their supporting band. I would have bought the whole discography if only it had been available...

In November 2009 Bigelf supported Dream Theater during the Progressive Nation 2009 Tour. Mike Portnoy loves them.

Check them out... their music is an infectious mix of Black Sabbath, the Beatles, Uriah Heep, Queen, King Crimson, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd.

I would recommend the albums Hex and Cheat the Gallows.
Some of my favourite songs: Counting Sheep, Disappear, Bats in the Belfry I.

They all use original vintage equipment both in studio and in their live performances, like for example an Hammond C3 and a Mellotron.
