just got Transmetal's first cd, Muerto en la cruz, along with an EP entitled Desear un Funeral. great underrated Mexican Death/Speed Metal, kinda reminds me of Venom a little bit too.

Eluveitie - Everything Remains As It Never Was

I didn't like it, unfortunately. I posted a review earlier today. If anyone is interested...

really? i haven't heard the whole album yet, but the single, Thousandfold wasn't bad. i liked it alot more that Evocation I. it sounded like they're going back to their "old" sound, back on Slania

It's Slania, but less focused, more overcomplicated and less memorable.

Spirit is still their best, for me. Slania came really close and certainly wasn't a disappointment. Now, however...

Also, Evocation was horrible. It lacked all the great atmosphere of folk, and was just folk instruments, vocals no one could understand and Nothing more.

I didn't like the samples for Eluveities new album, I know that I won't listen to it if I buy it.  Last week, I made a rare visit to the local record store and picked out 4 albums:
Dark Funeral-Angeles Exuro Pro Eternus
Dark Fortress-Ylem
Azaghal-Teraphim
Pig Destroyer-Phantom Limb
I like the Pig Destroyer album the most and like the Dark Fortress album the least.0

wish i had that kinda selection around here, even the local distros don't offer Dark Fortress or Azaghal cd's.
sadly, from what everyone's been sayin, it sounds like Eluveitie has passed their musical prime already. but i still need to hear this new albm for myself.

It's  pretty good, most of the songs sound more original.  Unlike how a few of their past albums seem to sound so repetitive to their earlier material.  I like it and I plan to review it soon, when I get the chance.  But I'll review the Pig Destroyer album first, because it's awesome.0
