Yes, Nortt is more Doom Black Metal because DSBM traditionally has a lot of buzzing wall-of-sound guitars and a consistent tone throughout a song or album, while Nortt has a lot more structure and minimalism. The guitars aren't always churning and there's more happening in the music. The music may have the atmosphere of DSBM, but it's a doomy atmosphere too, and the way the music is presented makes it doom black to me.

Maybe they think Doom Black and DSBM sound around the same. Besides, perhaps a band genre called "Depressive Suicidal Black Metal" is too long, or most people won't know what DSBM stands for.

They're just wrong a lot of the time as Far as genres go. Nothing major, really.

It's probably not even them doing it.
It's probably the people who add the bands to SoM.

0 Why don't you work out a deal with the owner of Documenting Reality.com to get free passes for all of those who would like to view the content of that site?
I'm sure it would go Down well with most people on here.Just a thought everyone.

^ right.

Anyway, i was thinking, why doesnt SoM change the rating system from /20 to /10. I mean, when you look at 14/20 it looks comparatively low, but yet it's actually a good rating. (divide by 2=7/10).

Thoughts?

I think the /20 is perfectly fine. It is accurate enough to Judge wheather or not an album is good or bad, and I've seen many many sites out there who have 8.5/10. Whats the point of putting a decimal place in a fraction?

On the same note, I wouldn't like /100. I mean yeah sure it's accurate but that can get confusing as well. And you have those people who say
" Oh-Em-Gee... It CAN'T be a 95 because thats too harsh and it CAN'T be a 97 because that's too linent, it HAS to be 96" 0
