Thanks so much Archon!
I didn't think any Ideas here got taken totally seriously.

Okay, another idea here.
And I'll try not to rant, 'cause this really pisses me off.
I add lyrics and albums and such, and there's always one tiny little thing that's off with the submission. Now I'm okay with that and I understand, but some nights I'll submit dozens of things, and then in the Morning I find all these modification requests. I still don't mind this part, just bear with me here.

When I look at the reason they've given me for being incorrect,
IT'S ALWAYS IN FRIGGIN FRENCH

I understand that this site is mainly French but WHY can't someone recognize language that a user is partial of so they can translate the problem. Every time I get a notification request, I have to copy/pastse it and put it into one of those cheap free online translator thingies. It's really irritating.

People when they register should be able to submit themselves to the site as 'English-speaking,' French-speaking,' or 'Bilingual/Trilingual'. If they mess up a Submission, if say, it's a French mod sending the note, the note should first be passed through a bilingual mod so they can pass the message along properly. Now I can see that this would be tedious and take a bit of time, so I totally understand why this idea might not get used, but still it irks me to come to my inbox and see 15 requests that are all in a language I don't understand.

Ive already told someone about this after a having to break though a strong language barrier, the webmaster has been notified "apparently".

I guess all we can do is... wait 0

If someone posted this already, sorry.
Is there any way we can have more genres for bands here, or are there too many already?
I mean, I've noticed that most DSBM bands [take Nortt and Forgotten Tomb, for example] are listed as Doom Black, when they're really DSBM. It's just a matter of looking at their lyrical content and maybe the melody of the riffs and such. Besides. They really don't have the Doom Metal riffs that fill you with Despair and dread and all the other feelings and emotions that are associated with doom metal... It's just depressing.
I'm just saying. It'll confuse people.

The first circlers have already rejected this proposal... dunno why 0

Odd...   Maybe they think it'll make metal even more diverse in it's sub-genres.

I think there is a bit of misunderstanding in band discographies. Every full length album is called 'CD'. sometimes there is a title, and next to it is a year and 'cassette' - but it's just the format, what the Hell is this record: demo, full length album, EP, split, compilation? Who is uploading those records like that? There should be additional notes about the avaliable format (cassette/CD/vinyl) and number of limited copies (if there is a limit of course).

I totally agree with Pavel, and I try to make these corrections every time I can.
We should just have
Full-lengths
Singles
EPs
Demos
Splits
Live (CD/DVD)
Compilation
Bootleg
Tribute/Cover
Samplers
Box Sets

And format should not be a part of it. I own some things in more than one format, so what does that make it?
Maybe we could have a part in the album info that lists what format the album is available in, but other than that it shouldn't be used.

And to DMP, Nortt is defenitely doom black. That's probably why the mods don't change it.

Yeah, there's a distinct difference between the styles of Forgotten Tomb and Nortt and stuff from the DSBM scene. I hear a lot of doom in Nortt and FT, not necessarily trad doom but doom nonetheless. Finally they get a genre categorization right.
