Why did you erase thy profile of Fuck Xasthur?, It is a real band, was because of the cover portrait? There was the real one, i really like that band. Fuck Xasthur!

I noticed that too, but you have to understand that SoM is a public site. People from different ages and background pass here and a picture of Malefic with a noose next to him is too confronting. This site does not support any of the depressive thoughts in his music. Als evolves Xasthur's style towards a more ambient music than real metal.

Hope this helped

Might as well delete all DSBM, and anything anti-christian then because it contains the same motives.

I don't understand why the motivations a band has for their music should deem them "unworthy" of an inclusion on this site.

It hasnt . And it propably has not been deleted for it . Dont come up with site rules right out of your Head .
This site has a strict policy about pornografic images and by no Means support nazi/ethnicist ideals . Thats all , as Far as i am aware .
I dont know the band , but i am sure the Validator deleting it had a valid reason to . Our team just doesnt go around deleting bands of our database .

As long as it wasn't deleted for lyrical themes or something, I'm fine with it...perhaps they were deleted cause they were a parody band or something? Plus, I know for a fact they don't have any physical releases.

This, however...has me puzzled.

Why does adding, say, an NSBM band to the site mean you support nazi ideals?

It doesnt . When i am talking about expressing neo nazi ideals were from the members , or comments by band authors in their biographies . The music itself remains intact .
Even with porn , covers that are include heavy sexual comment , are just hidden by a mature Filter , not deleted .

I am not sure why it was deleted either . I do know that the validators , me being part of the team have an Endless amount of work , because members keep on posting . Imagine finishing work at a day , and then comming to see 500.000 validations more waiting for you . Thats why the team sometimes gets unwilling to explain their actions . Everyone is still human .

Then why doesn't this site get more validators0 . I'm sure there would be tonnes of people who would like to become validators. I mean its not like you are getting paid for it. Right?

Because its a great responsibility . Imagine having countless bands , news , tracklists, etc pass from your hands everyday . Members of those teams have proven their maturity , objectivity , music knowledge and dedication to the site . Its always a choice only admins can make , so NoNe can really question their judgement . Having a small tight-knit team works Far better than a large team with flaws . Every mistake is a setback , that will come up on a later search .

Amusingly enough , what the site lacks (at least the english part i know of ) are a number of active members . We do have a few but thats it . I check profiles only to see most have 0 points and 0 comments .
