Headbanging at concerts can get a bit difficult with long hair [also being shorter than the people around you doesn't help :s ] ...need space
it wasnt hard for, but im a guy.  i get hit and shoved all the time.  doesnt bother me.  the muscular Pain in my neck when i had hair i wore as a badge of honor.  I guess for a girl, no matter how rough and  tough it might not be the same.
i dont mean to come over as chauvinistic. im just saying when i had hair i preferred to headbang.

That doesn't mean I don't headbang There are two major reasons why I like the front row at concert: one is being able to see what's happening on the stage, the other having room for my hair. ^^

lol
i didnt mean to say you dont.  all i was saying is that it was my preference.  apologies.
agree about the front.  i was front and center during the Exciter concert in st louis when Megadeth opened for them.

...during megadeth's "Killing is my Business..." tour in '84 or 85.  everyone was banging and hair everywhere.  ahhhh, when i had hair.

How you always manage to sneak up to the first line is Beyond my understanding . I always end were people are getting beaten , ahaha .
As for headbanging , i prefer the normal , front headbanging, making the full move from end to end .
It seems i enjoy feeling my hair flying this way

There are 3 pieces of advice I can give:

1. Be there in time (in case there aren't many opening bands or a diversity of genres played that day) Not quite Sleep in front of the venue, but be at least an hour earlier from the time the gates open at big bands concerts.
2. 'Run to the stage, run for your liiifeeee....!'
3. Look around for people that might not be interested in the next bands playing (in case there's a festival or the bands are different genres)

Also, it would be wise to not choose the front row right in the middle of the stage (unless you're a big guy that plays rugby) - that's where you get beaten  by the ones behind you, and crowdsurfing people or lead singers land on your Head, it's better either to the left or the right side of the stage (not in front of the speakers, if possible). Plus, there are the best chances of catching guitar picks, T-shirts or whatever the band playing might throw...

So far, the only times I didn't get the front row at bands which I was interested in were: Rolling stones, Deep Purple and first 2 days of Wacken. That's a pretty interesting record, if I say so myself.

I remember in AC/DC i waited for half a day in the line and still i wasbehind 5000 people , like in most gigs i have been .
I think they are just letting you because you are a woman

Nah, not really. Only if some of my friends catch the front, then they let me because I'm shorter. But I do admit guys are being less prone to clobber me, then they would if a guy was there 0

I can acctually understand people Head banging and windmilling.

But do people do that style where they sort of "tea bag" (in gaming term) when they headbang, just out of curiosity because I've never seen anyone do it in real life but I've see people do it in videos and stuff, personally I think its a lil bit on the weird side.

what do you think?
