Needless to say, and i disregard other comments on this album as some believe it turned them to sell outs, but Metallica's Black Album is an example of a flawless album, IMO.

Out of ALL the Metallica, (and metal in general) albums you had to choose from, you picked The Black album?

Might as well listen to the pop music you Despise so much, it's a pop album in metal's clothing. Not their worst by a long shot, but jeez.

I have three objectively perfect albums.

Agalloch - Ashes Against the Grain

I've fanboyed this enough on here. No need to hear me blather, just listen.

Burzum - Hvis Lyset TAR Oss

I gotta say, this is one you gotta have on CD. I loved it, but when I actually got the disc itself was when it rose above and Beyond to me. This is the album that truly fulfilled Varg's vision behind his music- to create metal that led you on a journey. And a Journey this is. Every new riff or passage sends chills Down my spine when introduced. The ambient song (Tomhet) is wonderful. This is a truly ambient Black Metal album, relying on the gradually shifting minimalistic melodies to create a delicate, intricate, imaginative journey.

Kvelertak - Kvelertak

If you don't like Kvelertak, you don't like headbanging to awesome riffs. This takes the energy and melody of punk and the ferocity and romanticism of Black Metal and combines them into one masterful package. Goddamn, this is just so full of LIFE. You know when you see some people review albums, and they never give 10/10 or 100% or whatever because they don't think perfection can be achieved? Yeah, EVERY FUCKING RIFF ON THIS IS FUCKING PERFECT. Clearly, the only reason people have this mentality is because they haven't heard Kvelertak yet.

In the Constellation of the Black Widow by Anaal Nathrakh is quite possibly the best Black Metal album ever. there isn't a single track on the album that gets skipped when i play it, and there's almost always at least 2 songs on an album that bore me after a few listens.
Wintersun's self titled is another one of my personal favorites. with that being said, there is no way they can top it with Time (assuming it EVER gets released). That's all i can think of at the moment..

Out of everything in my collection. I only have two that I could consider flawless

Amia Venera Landscape's The Long Procession
This album could possibly be the best thing ever made in the post-hardcore genre. The music is ambient and atmospheric enough to take you to another world. The music can be both extremely fast and technical, to slow and powerful. There is a massive amount of torque behind their music. It can take you out of a bad Mood in a second. Not only this, but the music is unrepetitive and never gets boring. They utilize a wide range of instruments and musical elements to acheieve this. Everything from you generic guitars to 1 or 2 second violin passages. Not only this, but the vocals are flawless and beautiful, the guitar work is flawless and unrepetitive and the drumming is highly technical and well what do you know... flawless. This is an album that I WILL remember for the rest of my life....

Fanboy'd albums:
Dies Irae - Devil Doll
Precambrian - The Ocean
Trivmrivate - The Monolith Deathcult
Dismantling Devotion - Daylight Dies
Close to a World Below - Immolation

The Pernicious Enigma - Esoteric
- I've mentioned The Maniacal Vale a lot on here, but this is definitely the Superior album. This thing is dark. Khanate, Gnaw Their Tongues, Vonn are all Fucked Up, but in terms of plain Darkness, this albums is the best. Almost 2 hours of soul-crushing Funeral doom.

Underwatermoon - Winterhorde
-Gangrene is the most epic, but this is the most beautiful Black Metal album. Every riff and lyric is filled with emotion. Moments like 8:10 in The Curse of Gypsy actually made me cry.

Ocean Machine - Devin Townsend
-Sure, I've gone all Insane over Deconstruction, but this remains his best. Nothing corny like his newer stuff, this is pure atmospheric bliss.

Indeed. The 12 minute mark in Marasm still blows me away. Not my all-time favourite post-hardcore band (Fall Of Efrafa remain the God's of post-hardcore to me), but definitely up there.

If there are albums i'd consider just about completely perfect in metal? Well...

-Black Sabbath - Master of Reality/Sabotage
-Fates Warning - Spectre Within/Awaken The Guardian
-Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
-Slayer - Hell Awaits
-Coroner - No More Color
-Bathory - Blood Fire Death
-Sacramentum - Far Away From the Sun
-Dismember - Like an Ever Flowing Stream
-Kreator - Pleasure to Kill / Flag of Hate (especially the EP, which I consider possibly the best metal EP of all time)
-Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
-Mercyful Fate - Don't Break The Oath

There are a lot of records I hold in ultra-high esteem, but if I really had to whittle it Down, this'd be it.
