I don't know about ya'll here, but I personally don't care about other peoples music taste. I don't discriminate anyone just because he likes a band I don't, I just let him be, and don't bother much about him.

I have to agree with what Enigmatick said, Metal is a diverse music genre, so are the fans, there will always be Hatred towards certain genres. For example, Die Hard Thrash fans Hate Black Metal, Die Hard Death Metal fans Hate Power Metal, Norwegian Black Metallers Hate Swedish Black Metal, "true" Metallers Hate Nu Metal and -core stuff (so called "poser" metal), classic Metal fans Hate Extreme Metal and so on.

I wouldn't consider you that type of deathcore-ist.
Sure, you like music for its heaviness (something that I don't quite get, but moving on), but you also are an explorer of the rest of metal. You wanna get a taste of everything, so you can make dictionary definitions of the genres in your head.

Only thing is, I really don't like deathcore. Not even a little bit. And there are a ton of metalists that do. Don't make it into a Fight or question it, because it's only their opinion. The only people who get into fights are those that think Heavy Metal has rigid guidelines and try to Enforce them to people who listen to 'weaker metal' like Slipknot and Bullet For My Valentine and Suicide Silence. Y'know, the trendy Hot Topic stuff. And then somtimes the trendy metallers Push their personal metal guidelines on people in the same way.

So really, even though you're acting like the Deathcore fans are really really inocent and their getting bullied and pushed around for no reason, the squabbling comes from both sides. Can't believe I'm using this cheezy line, but:
"IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO."

Debating other people's musical tastes and discussing the merits and motives of subgenres is perfectly valid. It can be really constructive discussion and help you see new music genres in a new light.

It's just that, on the internet, for some reason everybody has this insecurity complex and doesn't want to admit they're wrong and nobody ever considers the other person's point of view.

To summarize this with some magical words: De gustibus et coloribus non es disputantur.
About personal tastes and colours there should no discussion

If somebody tells me that they're going to be a cat rapist, I'm sure as Hell going to call him out on it, even if it's his own opinion and choice that it's right. There's a lot of underlying variables other than the opinion itself- knowledge (or lack thereof) of the subject, personality, beliefs, be they political or religious- all of which can influence your opinion, and sometimes not in a good way.

Debating yes . But denying the other's point of view from the start , because you are convinced you are right, doesnt give much space for conversation .
As for that insecurity complex on internet . I think it exists on real life too . Do you admit you are wrong very often ?
The colours we live in arent just black and white , right or wrong . And our music is the Embodyment of it . Thats why i love it and it expresses me . It has all shades of every colour .

ask any of my freinds ( in real life ) and they will say yes. I don't see any problem with admitting you are wrong.
