Enigmatick says : ^ i heard a preview of the new Decapitated and it sounded like fucking Emmure. Sounds like it's gonna fail pretty hard.

Yeah i heard them last night on our "full metal" racket radio channel we have in Aus. I didnt go on it much, But they've still got the fast double bass. You've also got to remember that the band is basically a whole new line up.

No excuse. Also fats double bass doesn't mean shit if it's backing up horrible chug riffs. I've never liked much Decapitated I heard after Winds of Creation, but still, I think they should have just let sleeping dogs lie after the accident. Especially if they keep making crap like this.

On a somewhat lighter note, I'm hearing the new Tyr record for the first time and dayumn this is some good shit...the vocal lines are ridiculously catchy as the rest of the music just kind of circles around them, accentuates them and elevates them to a whole new level. One of the better records of 2011 thus far.

I don't expect anything good out of that. But all of their earlier releases are example of amazing tech- death that I can actually listen to

Decapitated were never really anything special to me. I've only listened to Winds of Creation but aside for the intial surprise of the band being so young at the time, the songs just didn't grab me at all. Even their cover of Slayer's "Mandatory Suicide" fell flat to me, but eh.

I'm looking forward to Vader's new record. They're a really consistent bunch, it seems, because the track i've heard from the record has sounded really, really damn good. And the cover art is fucking awesome.

Black Tide are releasing their 2nd album "Post Mortem". I'm uncertain of how many tracks are on the album. (I've read Six). Been with this band since they released their first album "Light From Above". It is a must buy for those Heavy Metal lovers out there. Brilliant new band from America. Expect a big future for this band.

Right: ive just listend to this song (below) and they've changed their sound to more like. . . A7x type of sound. . .? Not as good as their old stuff IMO. You compare?

Black Tide fucking sucks. I've said bands suck before, but seriously.

They SUCK.

False metal at its worst.
EDIT: Just finished listening to the song, and wow...they've actually jumped into cannibalizing the already dead American emo-core scene! Buncha trendhopping piece of shit posers.

Nice to see enig has once again bosted his oppinion, which oddly no one cares for. @Enig: you do realise, Nothing you say will deter people from listening to music they like. So why Waste the time to say how shit they are? Beats me.

Anyway, not to steal the lime light from the attention-whore above me, Trivium are set to release a new album titled "In Waves" which i should take it that everyone here is already well aware. Shogun, from what i heard, was Nothing special and The Crusade was a little better. Still think Ascendancy is their best album.
