- ryan5 it's easy to say- listen to something else. I consider myself a big fan of MA, I love their every album, they are the essence of Death Metal for me. I could never understood why bands with a great status are changing their style and record shit. And I'm not bitching about this album. I'm bitching about the band because they have disappointed me so much. Just imagine that one of your favorites bands recorded total shit. It jus feels bad man. Fortunately there are still bands like (for example) Immolation, Asphyx or Deicide, which are active for many many years but are still able to play fucking great DM. Cheers

I agree, totally. You see, maybe these bands are tired (and getting on a bit) so hey, maybe
Brutal isnt on their agenda anymore. Maybe they just want to enjoy playing music, and even if it is shit, would you be more dissapointed with one of, if not the best
Death Metal band splits, or stays active? (People think that
Metallica should have split after
The Black album, but if they did, that would have meant that thousands of fans would not of seen a
Metallica concert. I certainly wouldn't of, but the concert i
Saw last year will remain with me forever. This would ultimately go for MA aswell)
There must be some good songs on their new album. (and Tim from DH has a fucking fast double bass, which, from what i've heard from MA, is "their" sound.)
Oh, and i dont see
Opeth turning to shit anytime soon. We'll see on their new opus, Heritage. (And we'll see how their new keyboard/synth player goes. Maybe they recorded this new album with their old keyboard/synth player?)
Edit: oh yeah,
In Flames would have to be the most controversial band in metal nowadays when it comes to turning to shit. You listen to Colony or The Jester Race compared to A sense of Purpose and, undoubtedly, Their new opus (which ive heard a song from via the Aussie metal channel, Triple J). All the "real" metalheads say that all their new stuff is shit. Fair enough its more like the new wave of melodic death than their older, rawer Melodic Death of old. But, i guess, being a teen i can adapt to their newer stuff as ive grew up liking bands like
Blinded Colony,
Dirge within (etc) who are of the NWMD genre. So listening to A sense of Purpose was "an easy pill to swallow".
