Singapore-based Pulverised Records has announced the re-signing of horror/gore death metallers Bone Gnawer — the Swedish-American collaboration featuring the growler Kam Lee (Massacre/ex-Denial Fiend) Rogga Johansson (Paganizer/Ribspreader) Morgan Lie (Naglfar/Hate Ammo) and Ronnie Bjornstrom (Ribspreader/Hate Ammo).

The band is working on their new recording and the comments of Kam Lee were the following:
"It feels good to be back with Pulverised. This is the one label that has a true understanding of the type of old-school '90s style of Death Metal we play.

"This time around we're taking another Brave and bold approach to our musical direction and lyrical concepts.

"We always strive to go against the grain and not cater to modern trends, all the while staying true to the old-school Death Metal sound.

"This time around we are going for a torture-and-vengeance-type lyrical concept, although some of those traditional 'cannibal-themed'-type lyrics will remain.

"We are [going for] a grittier feel and a much darker-edged 'grind-house' appeal to our lyrical concepts, taking influences from some of the more hardcore-exploitation-type films of the late '70s such as 'I Spit On Your Grave' and 'Last House On The Left'. Musically, we are retaining the horrific blend of old-school Death Metal we are known for, yet combining it with an even catchier flair."

According to the group's official bio, Bone Gnawer's music is "a simple Assault of old-school style '90s Swedish Death Metal with other pure classic Death Metal influences and influences of classic '80s-style death-thrash, while the lyrics twisting on the bizarre, Insane, and utter Macabre world of modern cannibals and psychotic serial Killers; as well as taking loose influences from horror movies with the same themes. With a lyrical touch of dark humor and a blend of catchy but horrific hooks and guitar riffing that is just pure Aggressive straight-forward old-style Death Metal, Bone Gnawer's style is sure to draw you in comfortably close and then relentlessly Smash away at your Skull with a hammer, cleave your body into seperate parts, and then cook you up on a grill for cannibal consumption!"

The band has one album, "Feast of Flesh", which was re-released on vinyl, with the first 99 copies including a limited-edition seven-inch single, "Scissored", containing three brand new tracks — "Back To The Butchery", "Leave Her To The Cleaver" and "Scissored". Issued in June through Germany's Metal Inquisition Records, this EP is the only way that fans will be able to get all these tracks at this time.
