Could you explain your music for the people who don't know your bandMARTIN: We are playing symphonic metal with some elements of industrial and progressive metal.
But because of really diverse characters of musicians involved in the band we develop a unique sound which you can only describe it as "Aperion".
You are 3 metal musicians, 3 classical musicians and one lyric singeress Zala ; Do you believe that your music can be heard by metal and classical audience ?
ZALA: Of course! Greater awareness in music (with all available media) has caused audience to become very broadminded and open to new approaches. Therefore we are not making music for a certain audience only, we believe our passion in music will broaden the boundaries in metal and classical music.
Tinka has joined the band (when ?) , how about her integration into the band ?
TINKA: I joined the band 2 years ago. The band was looking for a new flutist and Crt got my number somewhere, called me and invited me to the band. I found it interesting and when I heard their music for the first time I really liked it. Because until then I have played just classical music, jo
ining the Aperion was something interesting and new for me. I was well received among the members of the band. They are all great persons and we get along very well. Do you have new projects ?
CRT: We are always thinking to do something new. As a rock/metal band, we also play our music in acoustic version and we also created Ionosphere, which is an experimental performance, made with dancers of modern dance. So as for the past and for the future, we always want to prepare something new. But you all will have to wait a little to get to know what it will be.
You were in France lately on the H'Elle on stage in Lyon , was it the first time you came in France ? And what about that evening ?
SAMO: It was not the first time we played in France. We played about 3 or 4 years ago in Paris.
The concert we had in Lyon was amazing. The audience accepted us really warm and I can say that we would be glad if we played here again.
In France , there's no media talking about metal , do you have the same problem in Slovenia ?
SAMO: It is almost the same situation here. We just have Rock Hard media, that speaks about rock/metal, but t
hat is the only one. We have a few more that speaks more in general about pop/rock/metal. Your wishes for 2012 ?
NEJC: We have no extraordinary wishes, so as a band, we wish to have a bigger fan base, more concerts, more exciting new material and to share the stage wit some great world known bands, that has similar style than ours. This could be a very good push for us in the next year.
Do you hope and believe to play on the first part of a concert with for example ...Epica , Tarja ..or someone else ?
CRT: In the past we were arranging us to play as support on concerts of Nightwish, Apocalyptica, Within Temptation, etc.. But we only succeeded to support Epica. It was the only open minded band, who did not look at us as competitors but as friends. We could not play with Nightwish and Within Temptation because they rejected all the support bands with female singers and we could not play with Apocalyptica because we have classical instruments. Nightwish are now touring with a female fronted band, but I guess they paid enough money to support their tour :)
And in the future I hope that the situation will be better and we will get more support slots with bigger bands.
