Biografie : Villes
They were invited to play at the Jakarta Clothing Festival (Jakcloth) in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2012, where they performed for a crowd of over 500 people and received overwhelming support on their first overseas appearance. The following year, Villes was invited once again, this time to perform at the Main Stage at JakCloth 2013. They have supported Memphis May Fire (US), Chelsea Grin (US) and Issues (US) during their South East Asian stop overs.
Villes also set off on their first endeavor into Malaysia with the independently organized “Home Tour 2013” supported by Malaysian clothing line Elstees and alongside Malaysian Rock veterans Tres Empre, The Padangs and I, Revival. This tour spanned 7 dates, in 7 cities, over 7 weekends from March to April 2013.
Villes’ repertoire centers on their personalized brand of post-hardcore music infused with pop sensibilities, evident in their signature blend of screams and clean catchy choruses that are supported by a commanding structure of complex guitar riffs forming groove linearity with the drums. The band strives to make their sound and stories unique yet able to resonate with listeners everywhere.
Villes released their debut EP 'I’ve Seen The World' in 2012 which was produced and mixed by Singapore’s very own rising and award-winning producer, Roland Lim from Sync Studios (Roadrunner Records / Warner Music Singapore / Universal Music Singapore) and mastered by multi-platinum selling American record producer, Joey Sturgis (Rise Records / Sumerian Records).
They have released iTunes chart topping singles, "City Of Gold" & "The Levy (Acoustic) featuring Steph Micayle" which generally received favourable reviews from around the world.
