Biografie : Veldlokk

Veldlokk was created in the fall of 2003 by K. Saeter, although the name had not yet been chosen. Lyrics for a song titled Wotan's Revenge were written by him and were an inspiration to create this yet unnamed black metal project. After recruiting B. Amick and A. Saeter for the project, music for the newly named Wotan's Rebirth was written during the first session the band had together. With this song and the project framework established, new hymns were written by the band to spread the belief of Veldlokk.

A rehearsal tape was recorded in the fall of 2004 as a marker of the band's progress. Wotan's Rebirth, A Fell Shriek in the Forest Deep, To Seek The Source in The Mountain Crags, and The Call of North Winds were presented on the tape. The tape however was not distributed to anyone outside of the band.

After more writing and rehearsing the band decided to self record their first full length album. With six completed songs, recording began at Sapphic Studios during the summer of 2005. After completing the recording of the album in the fall of 2005, the band experienced delays in the mixing of the album. Determination however resulted in "At The Keep of Unending Tragedie" being finally unleashed on the world on CD-r in February of 2006. The album contains six original tracks and nearly 40 minutes of Hateful Black Metal.

Veldlokk's second album 'As Vermin Crept' was released in December of 2006 after another recording in Sapphic Studios in the summer and fall months of that same year. The album marks a continuation of the themes presented in 'At The Keep' along with more defined production and epic tracks. Veldlokk will promote this album until the time comes to record the third chapter in their history. Currently music for one song has already been written by B. Amick. Although it is difficult to determine the direction of the next album, the band has discussed composing more compact songs with an emphasis on guitar solos.

At this time the band plans to remain a studio project and has no plans to tour. Local shows with the right supporting personal will be considered under the right situation.
