Formed late in 2005, as a 4-piece, Untruth are a 5-piece no-bullshit heavy metal band from Melbourne, Australia. Frustrated with the constant supply of crap music being created, and for some stupid reason loved, around them, they decided to do something about it. This frustration and hostility is captured in every Untruth song.
Having been playing shows locally and in Melbourne since late 2006, this outfit is beginning to carve out a following of seemingly equally frustrated music fans. The Untruth live show is intense and raw, while never losing sight of the killer melodies instilled in the music, and their passion for creating balanced music that never weights too heavily on one style for too long.

Mid 2007 Untruth moved frontman Ben Roberts to lead vocals, instead of bass and vocal double duty and recruited Codey Allan on bass guitar. The new Untruth sound is much more refined and diverse than the original songs played at the first LOCKDOWN show in November 2006. Huge solos, melodic madness and a heavy melodic thrash/death influence now drive the band to a sound far heavier and more brutal than their beginnings.
