TRIBAL is a djent / tech metal band from Curitiba, Brazil.

​Founded in 2014 by Cris Fernandes (guitars and vocals) and early members Anderson Cielo (guitars) and Ze Harasim (bass), the bond between them was instant, due to their compatible vision of music and life. Half year later joined by Edu Sallum (drums) the band soon stared to take shape and was ready to hit the stage.

The concept behind it all is being minimalistic, bringing back to the very foundation of what makes us who we are. Raw sentiments, intense feelings, or else, being human. It is about deep life changing personal experiences, right down to the core. Minimalism is a lifestyle that helps people question what things add value to their lives, by nourishing the most important aspects of life.

The band gathers a collective of musicians coming from a variety of musical backgrounds. This melting pot of eclectic tastes forge a creative bond between several types of genres that are worlds apart. The combination of efforts results in fusions between intricate patterns and melodies with Brazilian tribal rhythms. This particular blend of musical styles strives to find a balance between chaos and tranquillity.

A complex and innovative style stands out within the genre because the use of a diverse array of polyrhythms, melodic interludes and experiment atmospherics throughout the songs. This self-titled collection of songs was written and recorded in Brazil by the band itself, and mixed and produced in The Netherlands by Richard Rietdijk, sound designer and former member of Textures.
