Sometime between 1992-98...

The name Svartsinn was just a name I used to call myself, but not really knowing what connection to use it in. It was the time when I was searching around for gloomy, dismal and dark/moody music. I tried classical music but there were too few cd"s to find that contained 100% pure darkness. I stumbled across a few songs on an unnamed cd I borrowed from a friend and realized that this music was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to create something like this myself since I did not know where to look. I met Hærleif of Northaunt who gave me the computer software and showed me the path.

1999-2003 Creativity pays off!

By late 1999 I had 6 songs that was a story about some tough times and also a tribute to places I"d go to get away from it all. "Devouring Conciousness - demo" came to life and was self released. I uploaded songs to MP3.com and received lots and lots of positive feedback. I sent out demo"s in the end of 2000 and Mauro at Eibon Records got in touch which led to the release of my debut cd "Devouring Conciousness"! Other than that I"ve contributed songs for a few compilations and also some movies.I"m sure it won"t end here!
