SPHERICAL VOID was formed in 2006 in the French city of Compiegne by Markal (bass/vocals), Klebert (guitar), Cyril (guitar) and Panzer (drums). At the beginning the band was more into progressive death metal but one year later, they decided to modify their line up. Klebert gave up the guitar and started to play bass in order to let Markal focus on the vocals. Their new set-up as well as their new influences led the band to a new musical style. Now SPHERICAL VOID plays a kind of metalcore combining energy, heavy atmospheres and complex rhythms. The vocals in both English and French, mix hardcore shouts, growls and cleans vocals.

Their first EP, Spiritual Architect, released in summer 2009 deals with physical, social and psychological addictions. It was entirely auto-produced, except for the vocals which were recorded in Pascal Gutman's studio. SPHERCIAL VOID was lucky enough to play with bands like Textures, Scar Symmetry, Adagio, One Way Mirror, Wild Karnivor, Onirik, Syn, Plague The Sky, Ite Missa Est.

Currently looking for a label, the band is writing songs for their first album and will start performing live again in 2010. A second EP will be released in summer 2010.
