Biografie : Slavland

This young one-man-band started somewhere in the beginning of the year 2001. This is the most important activity of a person known as Belzagor. He also plays in other underground bands - Lugburz and Swarost, and has also some other projects - like Belzagor or Moonrise (with Tanatos of Lugburz). As you see he's a very creative person... Under the name Slavland he plays slavonic pagan metal with some folk parts. In the year of 2001 he created two demos: `Kiedy krzyż w słowiańska ziemie wbito...` and `Oddech Swiętego Gaju`; but because he wasn't satisfied with them, they weren't distributed at all. In the year 2002 he recorded the first full-length called `Piesń Gromu` which is much better than his previous works. This album is now being released on tape by Nawia Productions (and has a fucking big delay!). In the same year Belzagor creates another full-length album `Gęstwiny Dróg Zapomnienia` which is a little rougher. This album will never be released because it doesn't satisfy Belzagor fully. And now I have here the third work of Slavland - it's called `Zapomniane Kurhany` and it's the most mature music of Slavland. There are some plans to release it on CD (Nawia?), but not earlier than in the year 2004. Musicaly speaking Slavland plays very fast and harsh pagan metal with some folk parts (some of them are real folk instruments!). The guitars are well-played, but there's no bass as far as I know... There are two kinds of vocals - typical BM shrieking and some clear vox, which I don't like too much. The biggest fault of this music is the drummachine - it sucks a lot! Ok, maybe I'm sick (oh, yes, I am!) but I liked this band (maybe not every thing, but most of it's music)... If you like pagan metal check it out!
