Skoll start his activity in 1994. Since the beginning the purpose was to create atmospheric yet mystical music, strictly linked to the ideals of the Ancient European Pagan heritage.
Skoll can be named between the very first bands that influenced the Pagan movement in the Italian Black Metal Underground.
The Mist became the connecting plasma, the concept behind the releases, the source through which the songs came out through the years. In 2000 M (the bard) remained the only one into the project; canceled the live activity and started his own personal path releasing the following milestones with the help of talented guest musicians from the Underground.
In 2015 after 18 years without live gigs M (the bard) decided to take part at the prestigious Black Winter Festival together with Nokturnal Mortuum, Acherontas, Ad Hominem, Abhor and more. The live performance received very good reactions from the crowd and very positive comments from the press (“the best surprise from the entire festival” Rock Hard-Italy).

1994-95: The band made some tapes rehearsals under the name "Ragnarok", never officially released.
1996: the band self released the first demo tape "...in the Mist I saw...” on mc.
1997: Skoll is on the prestigious "Encyclopedia Pestilentia" 3cd compilation out on Velvet Music Int. (Fra).
1998: the second demo was released under the name of "Through The Mist We Come Back", self released by the band and then re-release on tape by Chanteloup Creations (Fra).
1999: B.T.O.D. (Ita) released the tape "Through The Mists Of Time", then released by the band on cdr split with Gravferd (Nor).
2000: The band splitted up and M decided to be the only official member of the band.
2001: "Warriors Of The Misty Fields" was recorded and printed as promo only for label and very few people.
2002: Aemathien Distro (Ita) released the pro-cdr "Warriors Of The Misty Fields".
2004: Skoll is on the prestigious double lp compilation tribute to Bathory "A Tribute From The Hordes To Bathory" released by Black Goat Productions (Ger).
2005: Ewiges Eis Rec. (Ger) printed the cd "11 Years Of Mist" to celebrate the 11 years of the band.
2008: Occultum Productions (Ita) relased the cd "Misty Woods".
2013: Skoll recorded and release the new album “Grisera” through Ewiges Eis (cd) and Werewolf Promotions (mc). One year later Fallen Angels Productions reprinted “Grisera” on CD with and extra bonus track in 1000 copies.
2015: “Through The Mountains Mist They Came” split digicd limited to 500 copies with the Austrian project Huruk-hai under Aphelion Productions (UK).
2016: Fallen Angels Productions with GAIA release “Of Misty Fire We Are" CD
