The band was formed in the winter of 2005 by guitarist Murad Erdogdu and drummer Erkan Simsek. Both of them had previous experiences with several music bands, before they had collaborated.

Later, Alper Aytaç -a close friend who had been playing the guitar for only six months- joined the band as they began working full speed. The band began searching for candidates to fill the gap of vocals and bass and invited Batuhan Katirci (who they contacted by internet) to be the vocalist of the band. Later they happenned to meet a skillfull bassist named Cem Bozoglu and the band was complete.

The band name 'Silent Disaster' was found by Cem and Erkan, reffering to the fact that disasters could happen silently. The band gave 22 concerts in various places in Turkey between 2005 - 2006, before trying to record a demo.

Disagreements lead to the departure of Alper Aytaç and Erkan Simsek, before the demo was finished. Replacing Alper, the frontman of 'Notr' and 'Milk Hunter' Volkan Koca, joined the band as the guitarist. However the band couldn't find a good replacement for a drummer and Erkan Simsek eventually returned to the band.

This is the recent line up for the band as it continues to make music by combining thrash metal and hardcore and sharing their issues with their listenners through the lyrics.
